Hawaiian is proud to be supporting the launch of Woodlupine Primary School’s specialist arts program, as part of Hawaiian’s inaugural Schools Program.

The Schools Program by Hawaiian aims to provide support to schools that need it and develop and maintain long-standing partnerships with local schools that positively impact students, parents and teachers.

Woodlupine Primary School has a long-established focus on the arts, with experienced and enthusiastic specialist teachers delivering an engaging visual art and performing arts program to students of all ages.

With a $1,000 grant from Hawaiian, the school has presented a number of senior students the opportunity to enjoy a performance with Perth premiere theatre company Barking Gecko earlier in the year, and the opportunity to put their artistic talents on show in an upcoming series of performances at Hawaiian’s Forrestfield in August and November.

Woodlupine Primary School Principal Trevor Phoebe said the opportunities afforded by the new partnership are extremely valuable as they give the school’s choir and music program exposure to a much wider audience.

“Hawaiian’s Forrestfield have also made space for us to have static art displays within the centre. With our strong visual arts program, we have many very talented artists who will have their first opportunity to showcase their work to the wider Forrestfield community.”

“We look forward to working closely with Hawaiian to enhance arts opportunities for young people in the Forrestfield area.”

Hawaiian’s General Manager – Marketing Kristi Ullrich said Hawaiian welcomes the opportunity to support Woodlupine Primary School as part of Hawaiian’s Schools Program.

“We have recently launched a number of local initiatives as part of our commitment to give back to the communities in which we operate.”

“We’re excited to be able to enable the growth of arts talent within Woodlupine Primary School and encourage the local community to come out to support the students later this year.”
