Claremont Quarter welcomed students from Swanbourne Primary School on Sunday 26 May, fundraising to support a community school in Bidyadanga in the Kimberley region.

The students set up a pop-up stall, selling candles and cards made by the 200 students from La Grange Remote Community School in Bidyadanga.

The partnership between La Grange Remote Community School and Swanbourne Primary School will assist indigenous students from Bidyadanga to participate in a cultural exchange program in Darwin, including their attendance at an arts festival.

This unique partnership has encouraged the local Swanbourne students to learn about the Bidyadanga community, home to approximately 750 people from five Aboriginal language groups.

Claremont Quarter is proud to support Swanbourne Primary School by donating $1,000 as part of Hawaiian’s Schools Program initiative.

Hawaiian is a proud supporter of local organisations and community groups within the areas we do business. Find out more about our grants and community programs via www.hawaiian.com.au/community
