On Tuesday 14 August 2018 the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research Director, Professor Peter Leedman and Hawaiian’s General Manager Marketing Kristi Ullrich, along with walker alumni launched the 2019 Hawaiian Walk for Women's Cancer unveiling the new look and feel for the signature fundraising event.

At first glance you will notice the event now hosts a new logo using colours of deep purple and pink to reflect the changing demographic of the walk which now includes more men.

The gritty new imagery showcases the strength and courage of the walkers, many of whom have been personally touched by cancer.

The new slogan "Tougher Together" is a statement that signifies that no breakthrough is a single-handed accomplishment; together we can achieve and do more for women’s cancer research.

And finally, the introduction to a new and more inclusive course route and distance of a cool 35km.

“With all these changes in place for 2019 Hawaiian are again so proud to be associated not only with the Walk for Women’s Cancer as the major event partner but also with the Perkins Institute as we move into our 5th year of partnership together”, says Kristi Ullrich.

For the 2019 event we aim to have 500 people walking and meeting a collective fundraising total of $1.1Million. To see the new brand and learn more about the 2019 Walk please visit walkforwomenscancer.org.au
