Newpark Shopping Centre in Girrawheen has been officially welcomed into the Hawaiian shopping centre portfolio.

Hawaiian purchased the suburban shopping centre in August last year, but management of the centre was only handed over on 1 July 2018.

Located on Templeton Crescent and Marangaroo Drive, Newpark Shopping Centre is a mid-sized centre housing an IGA supermarket, mix of discount stores and over 40 specialty retailers.  Easily accessible with plenty of parking, Newpark also includes medical and professional services and a childcare and fitness centre.

Hawaiian General Manager, Shopping Centres Alison Reid said Newpark is the tenth shopping centre in Hawaiian’s portfolio, expanding our retail footprint across Perth.

“Hawaiian’s philosophy is to connect people through places and our retail portfolio plays an integral role in achieving this.  We have structured our retail portfolio to sit within a 20km radius of the Perth CBD.

“A major aim is on evolving the role our shopping centres play in their surrounding suburbs, for us the opportunity sits in developing these to become an extension of the local resident’s lifestyle.

“Our focus is on medium to long term returns as we believe our investments are rewarded the more we give back to our stakeholders and communities.

“Our shoppers and tenants will have already noticed a few changes at Newpark both internally and externally including, the introduction of guest services officers, upgraded CCTV, maintenance work, new mall seating, LED mall lighting, indoor plants and free WiFi, which is just the beginning,” Ms Reid said.
