Hawaiian is pleased to announce the continuation of our partnership with the community Health education initiative, REACH.

REACH or Roaming Education and Community Health, provides free basic health services to the community through clinics temporarily located at Hawaiian’s shopping centres.

The program involves nursing students performing health checks and providing health education to the community as part of their studies.  The students are supervised by qualified registered nurses who are also REACH lecturers, providing them with clinical experience and communication skills.

The program is a great opportunity for shoppers to receive a free health check with no appointment required.  The 15 minute check-up includes blood pressure, blood glucose level, girth measurement, type 2 diabetes risk assessment and general health information.

Hawaiian has been working with the REACH initiative since 2015.
