Hundreds of family and friends gathered at Kings Park on Saturday to welcome home 178 cyclists in the 2018 Hawaiian Ride for Youth.

This year’s event raised an incredible $2,242,308 million for Youth Focus, exceeding the fundraising target of $1.8 million.  $19.7 million has been raised since the event began in 2003.

Participants left Albany & Geraldton on Tuesday, covering almost 3,000km across four routes; Coastal, Inland, Wheatbelt and the Mid-West to help raise much-needed awareness and funds for Youth Focus.

Hawaiian CEO Russell Gibbs took part in the CEO Challenge, which is the last leg of the ride from Mandurah to Perth.

Along the way cyclists visited dozens of regional high schools, speaking with over 3,500 students to help create awareness and the importance of good mental health.
